Welcome to our little forum.

This is a nice place to be. Not nice in a Stepford Wives kind of way, but nice because basically we just want a place to chat about and share pictures of our pups without a lot of management oversight.

This is an unmoderated site and as such we pretty much expect that members will moderate themselves.

Flaming is not appreciated and you will probably be requested to take your argument off the board.

Other forums and private emails are better suited for certain conversations such as advertising the sale of puppies and coordinating dog rescue efforts. If you need help finding one of these forums, please contact the site administrator. This board is about ACDs and the nutjobs who own them. If you want to talk about current events, politics, or other interesting but non-ACD related topics, there other forums set up for those conversations.

This board is populated by adults so don't count on G-rated conversations all the time. Those of you with kids should bear this in mind.

Discussion about what is going on at other, similar forums is not necessary. We've struck out into our own new world because we wanted to be here rather than somewhere else. On the other hand, membership to this forum does not preclude you from being a member of any other bulletin board, forum, list, club, or chain mail (there are no oaths of loyalty or secret handshakes here).

Private messages are exactly that....Private. The site administrator is busy adding in new functionality, playing with her cattle dogs and quilting so doesn't have enough time to worry about a private conversation.

If you feel you are being harrassed by someone PMing you...you are free to delete the PMs before reading them. We have recently added a feature to allow you to ignore a user that gets on your nerves and a disallow feature to keep people from pestering you with private messages. If many people contact the site administer regarding a problem individual the administrator will take whatever action is necessary to maintain a friendly forum.

Thank you for visiting, everyone is welcome. Contact the site administrator if you have any technical difficultings. Now, go register, post a picture of your puppy, and tell us a little about yourself and how you found us in the "Nice to Meet Ya!" area of the Welcome section. Please introduce yourself within a week of registering so we know you're a real person! We don't care if you just want to hang out and lurk...we'd just like to know who you are! Periodic housecleaning will be done to the membership rolls to clear out the lookie-loos who came, who joined, and who never came back.

If you are having troubles registering or logging in, try these things:

1. clear (and then eat) your cookies
2. clear your temporary internet files
3. reboot your computer
4. make sure your Log in ID and password are not the same or even similar.
5. AOL users might have more sucess using IE.
6. sacrifice a chicken...or go grab some KFC, same diff.
7. try, try again.
8. contact the site admin at cattledog.corral at comcast.net

Thanks!
Bossy, the Admin.
